12/20/03: The DCSPQs threw a Christmas party for our Girls at the Desoto Sunrise Girls Home at TizAnn's Station on Saturday, December 20th. We ate, we laughed, we sang...we tried not to hurt ourselves or others but some balloons had to die...well...that was the object of one of the games we played with the girls. :)

We are looking forward to next year's Christmas party already! MERRY CHRISTMAS GIRLS!

11/08/03: The DCSPQs made an appearance at The Desoto Sunrise Harvest Ball Festival at 7:00 PM at The Desoto Civic Center. See the details here.
10/25/03: The Desoto County Sweet Potato Queens presented The First Annual Desoto Sunrise Poker Run on Saturday, October 25, 2003 from 9:00 a.m. to well into the night. The DCSPQs challenged the rainy weather and raised $1500 for The Desoto Sunrise Girls Home while having the type of fun deserving of any queen. See photos and details of the event here.
10/22/03: DCSPQ made an appearance at several Bike Night bars on Wednesday, October 22nd. They seemed to have a Queenly time, but don't take my word for it...look at the photos taken here.

10/16/03: DCSPQ made an appearance at the Desoto Sunrise Thrift Shop Opening on Thursday, October 16th. The new thrift shop is a wonderful addition to Desoto County and we should get everyone we know to support it! See the photos taken here.
